Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

Claplink submits your product to software directories, so this policy explains exactly what we collect to do that, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. No legalese longer than it needs to be.

What we collect

When you use Claplink, we collect:

  • 🔗 The URL you paste into the hero field
  • 🖼️ Your logo file
  • 🏷️ Your company name and a short description of what you do
  • 📣 Any social links you give us
  • 💳 Your pricing page link, if you provide one
  • 📧 Your email address, for receipts and status updates

Payment details are handled entirely by Dodo Payments, our payment processor and merchant of record. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

We use the details above for one thing: submitting your product to the directories listed on the homepage. Your logo, company name, description, social links, and site URL are sent to those directories as part of each listing — that's the service you're paying for. Your email address is used only to send you your receipt and your "your listings are live" email.

Who we share it with

Two groups see your data: the software directories we submit you to (that's the point — it's how you get listed), and Dodo Payments, who processes payment on our behalf. We don't sell your data, and we don't hand it to anyone outside of those two groups.

How long we keep it

We keep your submission details for as long as we might need to resubmit a listing that disappears — 90 days after your listings go live, per our resubmission policy. After that, we keep a minimal record (your email and which directories you were submitted to) so we can support you if a directory contacts you later. Payment records are retained by Dodo Payments per their own policy.

Cookies and analytics

We use Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool, to see which pages people visit before they paste their URL. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and cannot follow you to other sites. No ad trackers, no cross-site tracking pixels.

We also read aggregate search data from Google Search Console, which never touches your browser. Our payment processor sets its own cookies on its checkout page, under its own notice — that only happens if you go through to pay. Cloudflare, which serves this site, sets one strictly-necessary security cookie.

Your rights

You can ask us what we have on file, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it once your listings are live and stable. Email hello@claplink.com and we'll handle it directly — no support ticket system, just a reply from a person.

Changes to this policy

If this changes in a way that affects how your data is used, we'll update the date at the top of this page and email anyone it materially affects.
